Due to the planned retirement of the current incumbent, the court is seeking applicants for the position of Chief Probation Officer. The position is under the administrative direction of the Chief Judge of the district court and is directly responsible for the administration of the Federal Probation and Pretrial Services Office in the Southern District of Mississippi. The current probation staff includes 34 officers and 14 support staff who are located in offices in Jackson, Hattiesburg, and Gulfport
